Lauterbrunnen is a beautiful little village – Not so sure we
would come back here as there really isn’t too much to do and whatever there is
to do is quite expensive, but we’re happy to have come here and see what it’s
all about.
The scenery is breathtaking – The Swiss mountains definitely
do not disappoint. We can see snow from afar and Blake did question whether or
not any ski lifts were open but to his disappointment, they weren’t – not for
snowboarding anyways.
The camping grounds we are staying at are great – it’s literally
its’ own little village – There is a restaurant, a whole heap of cabins, tents,
a shop, kitchen and bathroom facilities and too many Australians. Blake has already
bumped into 2 people he knows.
We went for a very long bike ride/hike yesterday which
absolutely destroyed me. Not quite my idea of a honeymoon activity but Blake
loved it. He thought the downhill part would be all rough terrain etc, but it
was just bitumen. Plenty enough for me. Anyway, after 4 hours on a bike, we
made our way back to the camping grounds and had dinner cooked by our friend
Cho, the Japanese chef... He made Bolognese and ratatouille pasta :)
We leave for Lake Como tomorrow.
Till the next town x
